- Tissues should be submitted in 10% neutral buffered formalin
- Steps for specimen submissions
1. Place specimen in tightly sealed formalin-filled container
2. Place formalin container inside sealed plastic bag
3. Place plastic bag in crush proof cardboard box with absorbent towel
4. Please combine multiple biopsies in one mailing box
5. Tape box closed and place in stamped plastic mail pouch
6. Apply return address and seal pouch!
7. Mail via US Postal service; Confirmation delivery may be added at your post office
